A Juice to Keep Yeast Infections at Bay

Yeast infections are a frustrating problem for many people. They can be tenacious and reoccur with stubborn regularity.

At a recent conference of 26 experts from 13 European countries, medical professionals discussed strategies for the treatment and prevention of invasive candidiasis, an infection by the most common problematic fungus, “Candida.”

The conference attendees got together with the aim of providing a review on optimal treatments. Published and unpublished trials on antifungal therapy were analyzed and discussed. Then came question period. Experts were asked to respond and recommend a treatment for differing cases of infection. Unfortunately, for many situations, even the experts could not come to an agreement about what treatment to use.

The experts blamed the indecision on the fact that many “Candida” species are now antifungal drug-resistant. Normally, treatment of yeast infections usually involves taking some kind of antifungal medication, such as fluconazole. Fluconazole does show an ability to clear up Infections in some situations, but could be ineffective at killing off a drug-resistant yeast colony. It could also cause a number of unwanted prescription side effects.

Natural Treatment for Candida

A dose of two to four ounces of aloe vera juice taken twice in a day could help boost your immune system and stave off reoccurring yeast infections. The juice is said to be antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal and even anti-inflammatory.
