Most of the time nothing good comes from cancer. After all, cancer is the second-leading cause of death in the U.S. According to the American Cancer Society, there will be more than 1,688,780 cases and 600,000 cancer deaths in 2017. Homeopathic Carcinosin, or Carciosinum, is the remedy made from cancerous tissue that is often obtained from the breast.
As you may have guessed, homeopathic Carcinosin helps treat various cancers, including breast and liver cancers. With that said, it is also helpful for non-cancerous conditions in those with a strong family history of cancer.
You can also use the homeopathic remedy in the treatment of emotional stress, insomnia, respiratory illness, skin problems, abdominal pain. It also helps those recovering from mononucleosis or chronic fatigue syndrome.
Read on to learn more about homeopathic Carcinosin, as well as its many uses and health benefits.
Facts and History of Homeopathic Carcinosin
There is only a one-tumor Carcinosin available in the U.S.; however, countries such as Holland and Germany offer homeopathic Carcinosin made from up to 58 different tumors. Carcinomas used to create certain Carcinosinum include those from the uterus, ovary, bowel, colon, stomach, and mammary cancers.
The author of Homeopathic Materia Medica, William Boericke, first established Carcinosin. Later, in the late 19th century, the development and proving of a homeopathic remedy derived from cancerous tissue were linked to two British homeopaths, Dr. J.H. Compton Burnett and Dr. J.H. Clarke.
In the 1950s, Dr. Donald M. Foubister from the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital used Carcinosin with about 200 pregnant women with cancer and had a lot of success. Dr. Foubister was thought to have used it prepared from cancerous breast tissue. He also made the observation that people living with severe fear for prolonged periods of time often needed Carcinosin.
Dr. W. Lees Templeton is also credited for proving Carcinosin in the 30 and 200 potencies. Dr. Templeton was the Dean of the Faculty of Homeopathy and the Director of Provings at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital.
Several other homeopaths published their experiences or provings with Carcinosin. For instance, Dr. Jonathan Shore published research in the Journal of the American Institute of Homeopathy in 1989 that featured an overview of case studies that had included carsinosin.
How Carcinosin Treats Cancer
As the incidence and death rate of cancer continues to climb, homeopathy offers patients treatment options. Carcinosin, in particular, plays a role in the treatment of cancer. For instance, Dr. Clarke recorded many cases where he successfully used cancer nosodes to cure cancer, with Carcinosin being the most predominant. Also, according to Dr. James Tyler Kent, Carcinosinum mitigates the intensity of cancer, and takes away the burning, sharp, and tearing pain.
Current research also supports the anti-cancer effects of Carcinosin as a complementary and alternative medicine. For example, a study published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine in 2005 found that Carcinosin 200 was effective against p-dimethylaminoazobenzene (pDAB)-induced liver cancer in mice.
Another study published in the Indian Journal of Biochemistry & Biophysics in 2009 found that Carcinosin 200 has a benefit against liver toxicity, oxidative stress, genotoxicity, and cytotoxicity induced from carcinogens during liver cancer in mice induced with p-DAB and phenobarbital.
How does Carcinosin work against breast cancer? A 2010 study published in the International Journal of Oncology confirmed it was among the homeopathic remedies that were able to disrupt the cellular division of human breast cancer cells and produce cytotoxic effects in laboratory tests. The other homeopathic remedies used in the study would include conium, phytolacca, and thuja.
All the remedies used in the study did not harm healthy tissue and actually strengthened the cells. The remedies also stimulated the production of substances that inhibited the growth of cancer naturally. Since these experiments were done in a petri dish, there was no chance of the placebo effect since the cancer cells were not expected to die from the homeopathic remedies, and the healthy breast cells hadnât known they were intended to become stronger or more resistant to cancer growth.
It is important to note that when Carcinosin is used for a cancer treatment, the person should make positive lifestyle changes, including exercising, reducing stress, quitting smoking, and eating a diet with lots of vegetables and fruit.
Homeopathic Profile, Other Uses, and Benefits of Carcinosin
In the world of homeopathy, the remedy profile is significant to help determine whether Carcinosin is the right remedy for you. The homeopathic profile of Carcinosin describes the remedy being best-suited for shy and over-sympathetic people that are often hypersensitive during childhood. Such children will often suppress their emotions and are easily offended, and dislike being scolded or criticized.
The carsinosin patient also lacks self-confidence and suffers from very low self-esteem. While going through puberty, they may find it difficult to contain feelings of sexuality. As adults, the person tends to be passionate and may become a workaholic while pushing themselves to the limit.
The person may also have a desire for excitement and travel. Yearning for deep fulfillment may lead to illness and exhaustion. When a Carcinosin personality finds that their high expectations are not met, the person begins a negative self-reproach and will succumb to insomnia and anxiety.
The person that benefits most from Carcinosin may have strong cravings for fatty foods like chocolate and butter. Being at the seaside may negatively or positively affect physical symptoms. In general, the person will feel better from listening to music or dancing. Symptoms also improve from lying with the knees drawn up to the elbows. You can also use Carcinosin for a throbbing right-sided headache, twitching eyelids, tender gums and aching teeth, as well as twitching muscles in the arms, back, and thighs.
Carcinosin is also prescribed for the treatment of tuberculosis and diabetes, and in some cases for the treatment of the actual diseases. Letâs take a deeper look at the other health benefits of Carcinosin, including chronic fatigue syndrome, respiratory illness, insomnia, abdominal pain, and skin problems.
1. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is a condition that is severe fatigue that lasts more than six months. CFS is the result of a combination of factors that include immune system imbalance, parasites, chronic fungal infections, dysbiosis, chemical sensitivities, food allergies, poor adrenal function, hypothyroidism, high stress, sleep disorders, and hypoglycemia. It is used for CFS when exhaustion and weakness have a link with tender muscles.
Other characteristic traits will include frequent colds, nausea, recurrent acute illnesses, dizziness, and numbness. There may also be issues with concentration and depression. Carcinosin is also needed after CFS develops after a bout of mononucleosis.
2. Respiratory Illness
Carcinosin is also helpful for respiratory illnesses like bronchitis, especially when it includes a cough that develops from a tickle in the throat. The person may also suffer from a feeling of chest constriction and asthma.
Symptoms tend to worsen from cold air, laughing, talking, running, and undressing. However, short naps will improve respiratory symptoms.
About half of seniors suffer from chronic insomnia. Carcinosin is recommended for people with the chronic inability to sleep soundly, especially if this pattern has been present since childhood. The personâs insomnia also has a link with prolonged amounts of emotional stress. Thunderstorms may also cause excitement and prevent the person from sleeping.
Other symptoms will include restlessness, difficulty getting to sleep, disturbed sleep, an overactive mind, exciting dreams, and waking up throughout the night. Symptoms worsen from physical exertion but improve from short naps and at night.
4. Skin Problems
Carcinosin is also effective for relief from multiple moles and blemishes, and also acne and boils on the personâs chest and back. Itching is also common with a tendency to bleed or bruise easily. Symptoms start to improve in the evening, while undressing will worsen symptoms.
5. Abdominal Pain
Carcinosin is also used for abdominal pain when there are dry stools. The person also experiences burning pain on the right side of the colon and constipation that has an association with a desire for fatty foods like chocolate.
Symptoms will improve from putting pressure on the abdomen, bending forward, and consumption of hot drinks. Symptoms will worsen between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
